The Probus Club in Frome was started in 1984 to give a convivial meeting place for retired business and professional men, many of whom had previously belonged to local service clubs and wanted to maintain old friendships after retirement.
We are currently a group of about 60 retired men who live in the Frome area. Many members live in the surrounding villages and district. Our monthly morning meetings include a talk of about one hour’s duration on topics of local, national and historic interest, as well as a coffee break to keep up social interaction. A two course lunch (with bar) is also available.
